You can hear the smiles.. Staveley is renown for amongst other things being the home of Wilfs as well as the start location for many MTBer's foray in to the hills. Expect an amazing event - registration will be at the local village hall. Parking for this event is still be arranged. Please note this event is subject to us gaining permissions for the run stage. If unsuccessful we will endevour to find an alternative location in the south Lakes.

Well what not to do? OK so it might be a little chilly but a visit down to Windermere Canoe and Kayak for any hardy racers trying to get a bit of paddling in won't go amiss. For the tourists the Windermere Lake Cruisers are reknown for being one of the best trips in the country.
If getting out for a walk is your thing and you have family on tow, why not check out Gummers How or Brant Fell for a little mountain complete with the views. If the outdoor shopping fix is your bag then it will be difficult to pass Ambleside although don't fall in to the trap of goretex bitching all the other pedestrians browsing and check out Stock Gyhll Force or for the more adventurous head up Loughrigg.
